Thank You West Elm
Wow! I've been back from my US book tour for over two weeks now and I still can't quite get my head around the amazing adventure that it was. I have so much to share with you, especially about how incredible it was to take my eldest child away with me on a life changing journey. But I think you may have to wait a little while longer for it to all sink in.
Today I do want to say a big thank you to the lovely West Elm team both here in the UK and over the States for all their wonderful support. If you ever wonder what social media is for...it's for networking to enable things like this to happen. My lovely relationship with West Elm all started from a little tweet about how excited I was that they were opening a store in London. So crazy that 18 months, two workshops, blog posts about Instagram and flowers, and one big London book launch later and there I was in the Portland store looking at a big poster of myself!!
I had so much fun connecting back up with the makers from Maker Spaces in both Portland and Mill Valley at my West Elm book events. And it was even better that this time I could introduce them to Imogen. She was so excited to meet real life artists. She was especially influenced by Kate Bingaman-Burt who sat drawing all the things in the Portland store. Kate kindly gave Imogen some of her pens and when we went to Mill Valley Imogen did the same drawing project. Brilliant!
Thank you West Elm for all your love and support for my book and for all the talented makers around the world. You are wonderful! xo
