I do love starting the week with a good book and I'm really happy to be sharing this inspiring and creative book with you today. "Furniture Hacks" by Hester Van Overbeek is a brilliant collection of ideas to help you transform furniture and items in your home.
The book is divided into five chapters, with ideas for the Living Room, Kitchen & Dining Room, Bedroom, Home Office and Outdoor Space. What I really love about this book is that it covers a great range of projects from a fairly simple project of using washi tape to update a chest of drawers to a more complicated one showing you how to make window shutters. And even a table made out of all those magazines that you can't possibly throw away!
I love this idea for updating your cutlery with nail varnish!
And after spending the weekend in the garden I really like the Outdoors chapter with ideas for pretty, mismatched pillow covers, an apple crate table and a fantastic shower curtain canopy!
We are moving house this month (yes, again...no, not our choice...but that's for another blog post!) and I am really looking forward to trying some of these projects soon. Watch this space!
At the end of the book there is great section on Tools & Techniques, so you don't need to feel daunted by any of the more advanced projects. It really has made me excited about making stuff for my home. Thank you Hester. xo
