My little girl Rudi turned two yesterday. The sun shone just like it did on the day she was born and we all celebrated with her in style!
Each year I write a letter to my children on their birthdays, which I will put together in a book when they are 18. And here is Rudi's.
To my precious little Rudi,
Today you are two. So big and so little all at once. I was actually worried that we might forget your birthday this year because you have been like a little two year old for at least four months already! You are so keen to keep up with your brothers and sister, your language is so wonderful and your confidence has blossomed. You are also really good at having tantrums and driving me a bit crazy!
You are the happiest little girl in the world and you make everyone smile. Parents at school, shop keepers and all your family and friends. You like to know everyone's name and the name of everything you see. You love to sing and dance and instigate many family dance offs in the kitchen!
You are the most caring toddler I have ever met and whenever your siblings cry or hurt themselves you rush over to give kisses and cuddles. You are also really funny and already know how to make us laugh, especially with your big eyes trick.
Your brothers and sister adore you and you love them all so much too. It is a complete joy to watch them teach you things and they are so patient with you. You have three friends for life right there.
I am really excited about this next year and watching you grow. I think we are going to have lots of fun together. But please, please let Mummy get some sleep!
Lots and lots of love today and always,
