I am really excited to share this new book with you today! "The Shopkeeper's Home" by Caroline Rowland (of the wonderful 91 Magazine and Patchwork Harmony) is a dream of a book if like me, you love shopping and interiors....and are very nosy!! Imagine looking behind the scenes and into the homes of the owners of all those shops you adore? Well, in Caroline's beautiful book you can do just that.
The book is jam-packed with decorating ideas that you can take from both the gorgeous shops and the beautiful homes she has featured.
The book contains the loveliest selection of shops and I want to go and visit them all on a big Makelight Road Trip! Lots are new to me but it's also so good to see one of my favourite shops, The Hambledon featured and take a peek inside Victoria's stunning home.
For me, I also like the fact that I can take some of the ideas and inspiration in this book and apply them to my studio too. All of these spaces are so photogenic and the images are delight to look at.
I spent hours playing shops as a little girl and have always dreamed of having my own shop. I am already making plans for a little prop shop in the Makelight Studio, so who knows, one day I might have a shop of my own but for now I can spend hours daydreaming away thanks to this clever, inspiring book. Thank you Caroline!
"The Shopkeeper's Home" by Caroline Rowland is published this month by Jacqui Small, add it to your wishlist now! xo
