Today I am excited to show you a peek inside Joanna Thornhill's wonderful new book, "Home for Now: Making your rented space or first house beautiful."
As someone who rents their home (one day...one day we will own our own home!) I have really been looking forward to reading this book. There are so many more renters today as house prices have gone crazy, so this book is a great resource for renters everywhere.
Joanna's book is full of great and creative ideas for making the most of rented spaces. I love this sweet idea for creating storage space in your kitchen with a wooden fruit crate and some hooks. So cute!
And I love the idea shared above of using old linen tablecloths for curtains!
The book covers Living Spaces, Kitchens and Dining, Bedrooms and Bathrooms, Creative Workspaces and Plants and Outdoor Living, so there really are some amazing ideas for the whole home.
How fun would it be to create a space like this for the Summer?
Joanna has included lovely things to make throughout the book too like the sweet hanging ribbons above and the plant pot holders.
I can't wait to put some of Joanna's great ideas into practice in our home and garden. We have rented so many homes I've lost count and although I dream of finally buying our own home in the not too distant future, I know that this book will help me to make the most of our spaces until that day arrives.
I am looking forward to making some of the things in the book and particularly thinking about fun storage ideas.
If you rent or even if you have moved into your first home, this book is full of great tips, ideas, inspiration and visual joy.
"Home For Now: Making your rented space or first house beautiful" by Joanna Thornhill is out now, published by Cico Books.
