That was September: This is October

Goodbye September! That month certainly went by in a flash. I think I was so caught up in my little boy starting school, that the month just disappeared before my eyes. I love September and the start of Autumn, and that feeling of new beginnings and a new year that never seems to leave you however long ago it was you were at school.

As well as all the excitement of Oren starting school I really loved teaching my workshop again and that beautiful bonus sunshine we had too.  It was a lovely month even if it went too fast.

I have enjoyed looking back to this time last year today and I can't believe that I was pregnant with baby Rudi and getting excited about moving back to London. I feel like we've already been here for so much longer than a year.

And so to October, my very favourite month of the year because it is full of Autumn goodness - gorgeous colours, cosy evenings, changing light and....my birthday! Oh and it ends with the half-term school holiday too. What a brilliant month!

I'm really looking forward to teaching another of my workshops, to enjoying time with my two little ones, to ticking a few more things off my 13 for 2013 and lots of creative evenings making things for Halloween and dare I say Christmas! I never ever start making things early enough and have a big panic at the end. I'm determined to try and start much earlier this year and enjoy it all rather than it turning into a stress.

I'm also looking forward to jumping in leaves, apple picking, catching up with some friends, drinking lots of hot chocolate and baking plenty of cakes, like this one.

I hope you have some happy things planned for this new month. What's your favourite thing about October? I'd love to hear.

To welcome my favourite season and my new sponsors I have updated my colours. I hope you like the new design! I will be introducing my sponsors to you very soon but for now you might want to pop over to their beautiful stores and take a little look around.

Thank you PapermashThe Homemakery and Urban Cosy! xxxx
