As a busy mum to four little children and a wife to a super busy husband it is the little things in life, which often keep me going. Each week I will be writing a "it's the little things" post to share with you the things that have made me smile. The little things in life as so important but we often let them slip by. Appreciate the little things. They are precious.
This week's little things:
Earlier this week I hit a bit of a brick wall of exhaustion. Absolutely no surprise at all. I have been breastfeeding Rudi for nearly five months, without ever giving her any formula at all, which has been a pretty big deal for me as when I had Max (my third baby), it was a bit of a struggle to exclusively breastfeed while also looking after two other children. And of course, it's the Summer holidays, so I've had them all at home, all day long. This has been so lovely but equally, so exhausting.
For a couple of days I found it hard to be my usual happy, cheerful self and found being a mother exhausting. But now I've bounced back thanks to trying to rest as much as possible, a super understanding husband and my sweetest 6 year old who is now at an age where she can understand how other people are feeling and help out. She's such a little star.
Every time I have a difficult day I appreciate even more the time I take to record the little things each week. I hope your week is going well and you are looking forward to a happy weekend! x
