As a busy mum to four little children and a wife to a super busy husband it is the little things in life, which often keep me going. Each week I will be writing a "it's the little things" post to share with you the things that have made me smile. The little things in life as so important but we often let them slip by. Appreciate the little things. They are precious.
This week's little things:
Oh how I love the little things even more in the Summer holidays. Life slows down a little. There's no rushing around like crazy in the morning. We can be slow, stop for long conversations, let my little girl brush and style my hair in the morning, wear our pyjamas all day, have plenty of cuddles on the sofa, and have days when we potter about doing everything and nothing all at once. I love watching my children become closer with each day. They are a close little crew anyway but when they get to play all day, every day together it gets even better. And it reminds me of Summer holidays spent with my sister. I can remember one Summer we would ride our bikes to the local shop every afternoon and buy some penny sweets. I think we did it every day for at least three weeks of one Summer! A little holiday routine that has become a treasured little memory of childhood. At the moment my older two children are playing 'mums and dads', 'schools' and Playmobil on rotation, and I know that these are some of the games they will look back and remember playing together. Little Max is starting to play these games with them too, which is just so sweet.
I love indulging them with time, love, little treats, outings and plenty of cuddles. This is definitely a Summer holidays packed full of Little Things! x
