As a busy mum to four little children and a wife to a super busy, often absent husband it is the little things in life, which often keep me going. Each week I will be writing a "it's the little things" post to share with you the things that have made me smile. The little things in life as so important but we often let them slip by. Appreciate the little things. They are precious.
This week's little things:
Wow, what a wonderful week it was. The perfect arrival and the most beautiful babymoon a mother could wish for. I am so full of love for my family right now that I could burst. My husband and children have looked after me so very well, Rudi is simply adorable, she's feeding well and we've had two lovely family day trips already.
I know that there will be plenty of chaos and tricky times ahead but when it comes with this much love and happiness it's all worth it.
Being with little children makes you appreciate being in the moment and being with a newborn is even more about the moment. The stillness, the quiet, the slow pace, the cuddles, the long feeds, the small daily changes, the closeness. It's all consuming in a wonderful way.
I hope you had a lovely week too and this one has started beautifully. Keep looking for the little things and smiling. x
