Always Be Creating

minimakersgarland 002.jpg

As a family we live by the motto 'create something every day', so I thought it would be lovely to start keeping a record of all the things we make and choose my favourites of the week to share with you.

The image above shows the little 'mini makers' garland I made for our make & play room. It's just a simple paper garland using the pretty papers that come with Homemaker magazine and some washi tape and string from Papermash.

Mini Makers is also the name of the little website that Imogen made with Stef today. Her first experience of coding and she was so proud of what they achieved.

birthdaycards 006.jpg

These sweet cards were made by Imogen and Oren for my birthday. And of they made this little shed with Stef.  This is a little prototype of my new shed that's coming soon!

I made this sweet Liberty Flower Garland from Lotts & Lots.

partycakes 003.jpg

We made these sweet little cakes. A simple sponge cake, cut up with a cookie cutter, cut in half and filled with buttercream, some extra buttercream on top and covered in sprinkles.

rocketpack 009.jpg

Oren made this rocket pack from things he found in the recycling box and some washi tape.

moonboots 011.jpg

And Imogen made this bright moon boots with some tissue paper and washi tape.

babyvest 001.jpg

I made Rudi's 6 month baby vest. I've been making one a month, inspired by the lovely Davina of the Making Home.

hairslideholder 017.jpg

And our final make of the week is this sweet hair slide holder. I saw this idea in the new issue of 91 magazine and as I have a little girl who is always loosing her hairslides I thought it would be a perfect thing to make for her bedroom. I'm hoping it will convince her to put them away on here each evening!

The sweet yellow flower fabric is from the lovely new online store, The Homemakery.

I have also been busy making things for the Tesco online magazine. You can find instructions for my Autumn children's crafts: Matchbox OwlsFinger FoxesLeaf potato printingToilet Roll OwlsAutumn Leaf Mobile.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing what we've been making this week and that it might inspire you to have a go at making something this week. Happy creating! x
